If you're about to install TalkSwitch Management Software and you find it that the auto discovery cannot be well placed to find the TalkSwitch and it is saying "No telephone system detected", don't worry. There are 2 easy steps to follow to rectify the issue. This is probably going to occur if you replace any network device like a router which changes the IP number subnet on your local network.
The 1st step is to examine if there is an existing anti-virus software or firewall that affects the connection between the software and your PC. If there is any, try to disable it first to continue with the installing procedure.
The second step is to attach the TalkSwitch device and your PC using a USB wire and TalkSwitch Management Software. Click IP Configuration (on the left side under configuration menu and worldwide settings. Under system IP settings there's a drop-down box, it will either say "Obtain IP and DNS information instantly" or "Use configured IP and DNS information".
If it is saying "Obtain IP and DNS information instantly" simply secure that the network wire is forcibly attached to the LAN port on the phone system and attached to either your network router or to a switch and reboot the system by pressing the Power button off and on. Once absolutely booted up the Info light should be solid green and it should receive an IP address from a DHCP server on the network.
If it says "Use configured IP and DNS information" this means that it is employing a statically allotted LAN IP. If the subnet is dissimilar than the phone system you will need to change the IP of the TalkSwitch. After this is complete disconnect the USB wire and re-connect the TalkSwitch Management Software to your network. You may be able to connect through the software now after following these easy steps.
